Our Journey to the Big Event: February 2014

Choosing our Hair and Make Up Artist is also one of the hardest supplier to choose because it’s in their hand how you will look on your wedding day. Of course, all brides want to be super pretty on that special day. Me... I want to look flawless, fresh and young on my wedding day and for our prenup sessions. I just want a light make up and I won’t look pale. I am not blessed with that “malaporselanang kutis”. I have few pimples and spots on my face... L so the make-up artist that we will get should cover these imperfections.

When I met Glen Jon Marcelino few years back from Jet’s birthday, I told myself that when I get married, I will choose him as my HMUA because I like his style and I like how her brides look fresh on his portfolio. He has also done the make-up of Jet during her wedding last January 2013. After that, we were informed that his rates are quite high and far beyond our budget so we opt to look for other make-up artist.

As I searched for the HMUA that meet the style that I want, I saw Eds Go, HG Make Up Studio and CJ Jimenez are my options. I think her style will be suited on me so I decided to have make-up trial with them. I was unfortunate for CJ Jimenez because she is no longer available on our wedding. So I was able to try Eds Go and HG Studio only.

So what do you think of my make up trial? Did i look prettier? flawless? young and fresh?

Well... honestly i didn't like it both. I felt that i look older.. i look better without make up (according to Niño) maybe because he really doesn't want me wearing make up. Though their make up are good but it flakes in my skin after a while. I don't know if it has something to do with my skin...maybe my skin is the problem, not their make up. My skin actually is really dry. One of them even suggested me to have a facial treatment as it can help my skin to look better for the preparation. Niño, however agreed and he wants me to have this treatment.

So there it goes, we have to again look for other HMUA.

We booked our Florist during the Bridal Fair in SM Megamall. Among the Florist that day, we ended up getting 27A Flower Shop in Dangwa because they have the cheapest offer to us. We got our package for only 6,500. Inclusions are the following:
